Abigale Miller bio

Abigale Lee Miller (born September 21, 1965) is a famous American choreographer, dance instructor, and reality TV personality. She was the creator of the Abby Lee Dance Company, which was featured on the reality show Dance Moms for eight seasons. Miller pleaded guilty in June of 2016 to the charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced on the 27th of June, 2016 to one year, one day in federal prison. She was released the 27th of March 28th, 2018. In April 2018, she developed lymphoma, the type of cancer that made her unable to walk. She uses a wheelchair to get around. Miller grew up in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. Her teacher was her mother at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller, then 14, was given choreography and coaching of one of her mother’s dance competition teams. Miller was eventually able to take over the company, changing its name to Reign Dance Productions. Miller was accredited by Dance Masters of America in 1986, and became an official member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's membership was terminated by DMA in February 2012 when the DMA said that Miller's reality television show Dance Moms was "a complete distortion of teachers and students of dance and is damaging to the profession of dance."
