Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress, comedian, and activist. She was born to Jewish parents from the Soviet Union and started her career as child actress after she moved to the United States. In AT&T commercials she played the character as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in 2020. She was a regular host on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl for Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot TV series called New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were both at the age of two, came to America to escape antisemitism. They moved to West Hollywood. At the age of five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she dropped out and got an GED. She continued however to earn the Bachelor of Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. She learned how to perform improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
